Switching from Amazon's MCF: US Fulfillment app to Order Automator

Amazon shut down its Amazon MCF: US Fulfillment app for Shopify on September 30, 2026. If you used it, you'll need a new way to send Shopify orders to Amazon for fulfillment. You have to set things up again anyway, so this is a good time to pick the setup that gives you the most control.

Here's what Order Automator gives you and how to switch in about 10 minutes.

Why merchants use Order Automator for Amazon MCF

You decide which orders go to Amazon. Fulfillment rules route orders by shipping country, product, tag, customer and more. Send some orders to FBA, hold others, or change the location automatically.
Real-time inventory sync. Your fulfillable FBA inventory syncs to Shopify in real time.
Automatic tracking. When Amazon ships, Order Automator adds the tracking number, marks the order fulfilled, and Shopify sends the shipping notification.
Flexible SKU mapping. Shopify and Amazon SKUs don't need to match. Map them once in the SKU Map.
Shipping speed mapping. Map your Shopify shipping methods (Express, Priority, etc.) to Amazon's shipping speeds.

Alerts when something goes wrong. Get an email if Amazon rejects an order, marks it unfulfillable, or an order you cancelled in Shopify couldn't be cancelled in Amazon.

How to switch

1. Save your SKU mappings from the old app

If Amazon MCF: US Fulfillment still opens in your Shopify admin, go to Manage product catalog → Update using CSV → Download CSV and select both Mapped and Unmapped. This gives you a reference list of your Shopify SKU → Amazon SKU pairs.

If the old app no longer opens, skip this step. You can map your SKUs directly in Order Automator in step 4, using your Amazon SKUs from Seller Central → Inventory → Manage All Inventory.

2. Install Order Automator and connect Amazon

Install Order Automator, then go to Integrations → Amazon and connect your Amazon Seller Central account.

Order Automator creates a fulfillment service called FBA United States | Order Automator, and Shopify adds a location with the same name.

3. Assign your products to the new location

On each product you want Amazon to fulfill, go to the Inventory section and assign it to the FBA United States | Order Automator location.

4. Check the SKU Map

Products show up in Integrations → Amazon → SKU Map, usually within 60 seconds, along with the available Amazon inventory for each SKU.

If a Shopify SKU differs from the Amazon SKU, enter the matching Amazon SKU. Use the CSV from step 1 (or your Seller Central inventory list) as your reference.

5. Enable the feature and configure it

Turn on Enable. A default fulfillment rule is created in Order Automations → Auto Fulfill that requests fulfillment from Amazon for items assigned to the FBA location. Edit it if you need different conditions.
Add a staff email under Notifications.
Use the Shipping Map if you offer faster shipping than Standard.
Turn on blank boxes or block Amazon Logistics if your sales channels require it.

6. Test

Process a test order (see Testing Orders). The order appears in Amazon as your order number + .1 (for example, #1000.1). Check the Shopify order timeline and Recent orders in Integrations → Amazon to confirm it went through.

7. Uninstall the old app

If Amazon MCF: US Fulfillment is still installed, uninstall it once Order Automator is working.
