Testing Orders

You can quickly test your tag and fulfillment rules on a single order using the Batch Process page.

This is helpful for troubleshooting rules + testing new rules you created.

  1. Go to the Batch Process page
  2. In the Process 1 order section select the rule types you want to process
  3. Optionally select a specific rule to process on the order
  4. Paste in the order ID then click Process order
  5. A small popup will show when the processing is complete (usually a few seconds)

Test a rule against an order without processing

We have a new feature to do a mock run of a rule on a specific order to see if it would match.

This feature is in beta testing, contact us to enable it for your store.

Troubleshooting Tip

If a rule did not trigger on the order when it was first processed it, try running the Process 1 order test above. If the rule triggers now, it means that the order has changed since when Order Automator first processed it.

Solution: Read the order timeline to see what events took place during the order processing. You may need to set a delay in Order Automator (on the Dashboard page) if you have other apps that interact with the order.
